Chicken Wings1 kg ( 2.2 lbs)
Garlic powder1 teaspoon
Onion Powder1 teaspoon
Paprika powder1 teaspoon
Cayenne pepper1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
Oil1 to 2 tablespoons
SaltTo taste
Rice flour1 to 2 tablespoons
Baking Powder1 teaspoon

 

Instructions

Prepare the wings: To make sure the wings are crisp up well, pat dry with paper towels.

Seasoning: Mix the seasoning in a large bowl along with baking powder, rice flour, and oil, and massage them gently so the wings are coated well with spices.

Marinade: Allow the wings to marinade in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight, for maximum flavor.

Method:

  • Baking:
  1. For baking, set the oven temperature to 425°F (220 °C).
  2. For easy cleanup, line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Place the wings on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, or until 170°F (76°C) internal temperature and golden brown.
  • Air-Fryer:
  1. Set your air fryer’s temperature to 400°F, or 200°C.
  2. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer within the air fryer basket.
  3. To ensure equal frying, shake the basket midway during the 15 to 20-minute cooking time or until it reaches 170°F (76°C) internal temperature.
  4. Finish with a splash of lemon juice and cilantro.

Before serving, let the wings rest for a few minutes. Savor them with your preferred dipping sauces.

Notes:

  • Don’t add too much baking powder, it will make the Chicken Wings (air-fried and Oven-baked) taste bad.
